30 and preg...

At 30yrs old Im having my first child. I'm 8mo pregnant. 35wks today to be exact. My experience has truly been pleasant for the most part. I truly can't complain. Ive had the minor nausea in the beginning mainly when I brushed my teeth or smelled something funky but that didnt last too long. Ive also experienced the light headedness. That was actually a tad bit scary to be honest. All is well though, so I'm grateful.

I had originally planned not to find out the sex of the baby. I believe that my main reason for not finding out was because we were "convinced" we were having a boy. lol.. silly me trying to tell God what I was having. Needless to say we ended up finding out that its a GIRL!!! I really am pleased now though. I have to say, I think I was in shock for about a month or so. I didnt know WHAT I was going to do with a lil' girl. I am not very dainty or prissy but I will do the best with what I was gifted.

We've decided to name her Ziva (hebrew for brilliance/light of God) Teresa (after my Gma who recently passed. The name also means Harvest) . I think she will be a brilliant harvest in our lives! I pray that I am a good mother.

Well thats all for now.. I'll write more in upcoming posts but this is my first one and its 3:42a. I'd say its time for me to get some shut eye
